The aptly named Mountain is dark and foreboding. Notes of burnt caramel, oak, charcoal, and cream mingle well with a deep, intense maltiness. A huge stout, yet it remains balanced. Smooth, viscous and rich, without overpowering the palate. One sip begs another chance to explore the complexities of The Mountain.
The Mountain was brewed to celebrate the often arduous journey of opening a brewery- a beer worthy of commemorating our first summit, the start of production. As a reminder of things to come, a rogue’s share of the Mountain is aged for 12 months in a spiced rum barrel from a local distillery. Each year on our anniversary, we share Barrel-Aged Mountain with you.
